All GSLS students are allowed to explore, question, research, discover, and exercise innovative building skills through our STEAM program. Our school community is committed to the idea that an early introduction to science, technology, engineering, art, and math will set them up for success in their future.

STEAM

On Wednesdays, all students attend morning chapel. Family and friends are invited to join us at 8:30 each Wednesday morning. Pastor oversees and regularly participates in this service by sharing the message. Older students are provided leadership and technician opportunities during this service.

Religion

Our ASL program develops language acquisition skills and broadens the cultural horizons of our students. The study of ASL is intrinsically valuable, and it also facilitates a better appreciation, understanding, and acceptance for the deaf and hard of hearing community.

American Sign Language

Our P.E. program provides students with foundational skills and habits for a healthy lifestyle. Students engage in a wide variety of individual, cooperative, as well as competitive activities in a nurturing environment.

Physical Education

We know that technology is a necessity in the modern world. At GSLS we aim to guide our students and prepare them for that reality. GSLS uses the integration of technology to supplement and enhance instruction with a range of tools.

Technology

The goal of the program is to teach every child how to express himself/herself through art. This demands that the students learn to see and experience the world in a different way.

Community Service

Community service projects are an important part of teaching our students to be successful members of the community. Throughout the year, we participate in various events that give back. Students are often inspired with the desire to help others when they learn about the different needs of people around us.

After School Care

GSLS offers a structured before and after school care program (SAC). The hours are 7:00 a.m. to 8:05 a.m., and 3:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Two adult staff members help with homework, read to the children, and run activities such as arts and crafts, games, and fun on the playground!
